Shabangu Nominated for SATMA Awards

<p>MICHAEL Shabangu of Alex FM believes that he will be the winner of the SATMA12 Awards. Shabangu, hosts Xiseveseve, a Tsonga traditional program which airs every Monday between 9 pm -12 am is nominated the Best Traditional Radio DJ. The show has been running for four years now. When we asked how it feels to be nominated, Shabangu acclaimed. “Being nominated is a life-changing experience, considering that my hard work and team effort is being noticed.” Shabangu is the multi-award winner who read news, worked on the current affairs, hosted the mid -night cruise at Alex FM has requested people to vote for him. “To vote for me, SMS SATMA, Michael Shabangu, Best Traditional Radio, to 34066.” He joined Alex FM in 2009. He says that that he fell in love with the station and that it has become home for him.</p>

<p>“My dream based on the show, is to have more people tuning in the show and to grow the station. My goal is to win more awards,” he said. Shabangu believes that everyone can be successful regardless of color or where one is born. He said it takes courage and guts, but the first essential element for growth is that “you must remove the ego or pride. Be yourself, don’t fake it and accommodate everyone. Never limit yourself and be there for others, for it’s through others that we become who we are.”</p>
